Defensive Line

Starting defensive ends: Eric Gregory, Landon Jackson
Backups: Jordan Domineck, Zach Williams

Starting nose tackle: Isaiah Nichols
Backup: Taurean Carter

This is a position where the Razorbacks had to dip into the transfer portal to add some players. Guys like Tre Williams and John Ridgeway are gone, as is Markell Utsey. These guys brought production and leadership, but Arkansas is hoping that they can replace them this fall.

Eric Gregory is one of the main returning players from last year’s defensive line and he should have one of the starting jobs at end. LSU transfer Landon Jackson is going to be the other starting end. Jackson will have to earn the job, but the talent is there. Another transfer that could push for some time at end will be Jordan Domineck, who is coming over from Georgia Tech. Zach Williams played for the Razorbacks last year and will be in the mix for a starting job as well.

At nose tackle, Isaiah Nichols is going to take over in the middle. Nichols had 21 tackles and 1.5 sacks last season and should see improved production.
