1. Sam Huard, QB

For Washington to have a better-than-expected season, they are going to need former five-star quarterback Sam Huard to step up and take the quarterback job.

Huard was thrown into the fire at the end of the season to try and save the offense, but it was tough for him to do anything with such a bad system. He will have to beat out Dylan Morris and Indiana transfer Michael Penix Jr for the job, but Huard is the most talented player on the Huskies roster.

He has a quick release and a solid arm and those are traits that DeBoer is going to want in his offense. Huard still has some things that he has to work on, but he was one of the country’s top quarterback prospects for a reason. Huard will win the starting job in the spring and summer and the Huskies quarterback from day one.

Expect a solid season from the young quarterback.
