Linebacker

Starting Raider: Bo Calvert
Backup: Carl Jones

Starting Will linebacker: Caleb Johnson
Backup: Ale Kaho

Starting Mike linebacker: Darius Muasau
Backup: Kain Medrano

The starters for this unit are going to have plenty of experience, even if there are not any super talented players at the position. Two of the projected starters are super seniors and the other is a senior. Experience and leadership can’t be taught so this should be a solid unit.

Bo Calvert should be one of the top players on the defense this season. Calvert led the team in sacks last season with four but is going to have an opportunity to improve on that number. Caleb Johnson had 45 tackles and an interception last season and could be the leader in tackles this season.

Hawaii transfer linebacker Darius Muasau is the favorite to start at the inside linebacker position. Look for him to be one of the more instant impact transfers on the team this season. Carl Jones and Kain Medrano both have experience and provide depth at the position.
