3. Jaquaize Pettaway (48th overall)

It’s not like Texas A&M football doesn’t have talent at wide receiver. Evan Stewart who signed as part of the 2022 recruiting class is a five-star talent.

But the Aggies could still use some more playmakers in the passing game and Jaquaize Pettaway, who is a 5-foot-11, 170-pound wideout out of Houston, Texas, would certainly fit the bill.

Pettaway is a dynamic track athlete in addition to being a really productive football player. He’s got a verified 10.55 in the 40-yard dash and caught 105 passes for 1,798 yards and 16 touchdowns over the past two seasons in high school.

We saw last year with Alabama the impact that a speedster like Jameson Williams can have on a passing attack and the Aggies need to add someone like that.

Pettaway is ranked 48th overall in 2022 and is a top recruit at his position, as well as in the state of Texas, another reason this is a big recruitment for the Aggies to win.

There are no crystal ball projections for Pettaway at the moment, but Oklahoma is the favorite according to the On.3 prediciton machine but there is still a lot of time for the Aggies to make their move.
