Quinn Ewers, QB

The saga of Quinn Ewers has come full circle. The Southlake, Texas, native initially committed to Texas but decided to de-commit because high school students cannot sign NIL deals. Ewers decided to reclassify, graduate early and sign with Ohio State.

After one hand-off and watching from the sidelines most of this season, Ewers has returned to Austin, looking to be the starting quarterback of the Texas Longhorns. Though Hudson Card is still on the roster, Ewers is the likely starter in Austin, although the possibility of Arch Manning signing in 2023 is interesting.

Alan Ali, OG

Offensive guard Alan Ali followed new head coach Sonny Dykes to TCU from SMU. Running back Trelon Smith could have an impact since running back Zach Evans transferred to Ole Miss. However, Ali knows the offense and understands his blocking assignments.

Ali has experience playing both tackle and guard, starting 39 games for the Mustangs. The veteran from Keller, Texas adds much-needed depth to the Horned Frogs’ offensive line. Ali is as good a run blocker as he is a pass blocker.
