Unfortunately, Ole Miss Football will also be without their top three receivers from a year ago in Dontario Drummond, Braylon Sanders, and Jahcour Pearson. With six of the team’s top pass catchers from the 2021 season either graduating, hitting the transfer portal, or leaving early for the NFL Draft.

The good news is that the Rebels still have senior Jonathan Mingo next in line to take over as the team’s top pass-catcher. And he feels poised for a breakout campaign. Last season, we didn’t get to see Mingo’s true potential since he was recovering from a foot injury all season. But he should slide into place as Dart’s primary target in 2022.

Falling behind Mingo we can expect to see the Rebels’ other senior receiver, Dannis Jackson, as well as Louisville transfer, Jordan Watkins. While Missouri transfer, Jalen Knox, and Mississippi State transfer, Malik Heath, should also see ample playing time.

Bralon Brown is another receiver to watch out for in 2022, but we’re going to go with the incoming freshman out of Tylertown, Mississippi, Jeremiah Dillon. Not only was he a former track star in high school, but he’s also 6’2″, 180-pounds and is coming to Oxford as a highly-touted four-star recruit.

There’s a good chance that this lineup will shift around over the course of the season. But these are the projected starters for day one of the 2022 college football regular season.
