Ole Miss Football: Way-too-early Projected 2022 Depth Chart
Tight End
Starter: Michael Trigg
Backup: Casey Kelly
Even though returning junior, Casey Kelly, and rising sophomore, Hudson Wolfe, are surely going to have larger roles on offense in 2022. Michael Trigg enters the upcoming season with the highest ceiling, and most chemistry with the team’s projected starting quarterback, Jaxson Dart.
While he only has one season under his belt at USC, reeling in just 109 yards and one touchdown on seven receptions in 2021. At 6’4″, 245-pounds, Trigg is a four-star recruit with otherworldly athleticism and superstar potential. It also doesn’t hurt that he’s already spent time working out with Dart at the 3DQB in Texas just under a month ago.
Regardless of who starts next season, tight end doesn’t appear to be much of an issue for the Rebels moving forward. As they seem to already have three players that can easily slide in and make plays.
