9. Tyler Van Dyke, Miami

Miami football fans have legitimate hope for the future of their program once again and it’s about more than head coach Mario Cristobal. That hire is going to give Miami a chance to get back to the top of the ACC and another thing that will help is talented quarterback Tyler Van Dyke. The freshman and former 4-star recruit served as a beacon of hope even last season for Miami and led the Hurricanes to a 5-1 finish which included wins over ranked opponents NC State and Pitt. Van Dyke wasn’t a game-manager either. The 6-foot-4 quarterback threw for at least 325 yards and three touchdowns in all six games and if he can continue that production over an entire season, he could be one of college football’s elite QBs in 2022.

10. Kedon Slovis, Pitt

Replacing Kenny Pickett was never going to be easy for Pittsburgh, but the Panthers did as well as could be expected in landing Kedon Slovis from the transfer portal. The former USC starter is one of the most underrated players in college football. As a freshman, the 6-foot-2 signal-caller threw 30 touchdowns compared to just seven interceptions. The guy wasn’t great last year but USC was a total disaster and couldn’t win with him or Jaxson Dart, who will both have elite production in 2022. So don’t sleep on Slovis. He’s got 58 career touchdown passes and has a career completion percentage of 68.4. The guy can spin it and once he gets away from the Air-Raid offense, he is going to look like an NFL quarterback. In fact, I wouldn’t be shocked if he greatly improves his stock next season, while keeping the Panthers in contention for another ACC title.
