Cayden Green, 4-star OT

Outside of Jim Harbaugh, the best recruiting asset that Michigan football has on its coaching staff is Sherrone Moore, the offensive coordinator, and offensive line coach.

Moore was the co-offensive coordinator last season but coached the Joe-Moore-Award-winning offensive line that was voted as the best in the country. The Wolverines ran all over opponents last season, especially Ohio State and that’s something else U-M needs to build on.

Throughout the Harbaugh era, the Wolverines have done well at churning out high-level offensive lineman. Cesar Ruiz was a first-round pick and I’d expect a couple of players from last year’s team to wind up in the NFL.

Moore has proven he can develop talent and the Wolverines are trying to add elite offensive lineman Cayden Green to their 2023 haul. The 64th overall prospect in 2023 is 6-foot-5, 310 pounds, and out of Missouri.

He’s visited Michigan football multiple times and is expected back this summer. Yet, he just visited Oklahoma and received three crystal ball projections for the Sooners.

But, if Michigan is going to reach the next level, it needs to win some of these elite recruiting battles and the Wolverines are still in a position to do that with Green.
