These 10 college football teams look to bounce back after a disappointing 2021.

2022 was a forgettable season for many teams. However, there is nothing like a bounce-back season. How does one quantify a bounce-back? It does not always have to be a worst-to-first situation.

College football teams that usually contend aren’t used to barely making bowl games. Some of those teams are prime to rebound next season.

Other teams hope the ball bounces the right way next season. One-possession losses victimized some teams. A new head coach could turn a team’s fortunes as programs usually switch philosophies with new coaches. Teams who had the “players’ coach” usually hire a disciplinarian.

Offensive coaches replace defensive ones and vice-versa. Sometimes that philosophic change can help a team rebound the following season.

Injuries are often a reason teams do not play well. Few teams have the depth to withstand significant injuries. Many teams will get better just because they will be healthier than last season.

Whether it be injuries, a new coaching regime, or hoping the ball bounces the right way, several teams that did not perform up to expectations look to play better than last season. Here is a look at 10 college football teams (Power 5 and Group of Five) who could bounce back next season.
