5 worst states for college football entering the 2022 season
By Austin Lloyd
2. Kansas
It’s pretty hard not to feel sorry for the Kansas State Wildcats here, as they have certainly been worse than they look entering this next season. But sadly, their capabilities are outweighed by the weaknesses of their Sunflower Showdown counterparts, the Kansas Jayhawks.
There’s really no need in delving deep into the recent history surrounding the Jayhawks and their horrid performances. All people need to know is that they experienced 18 wins over the course of the past 10 seasons.
When it comes to each power’s showing in Big 12 recruiting, they are the two worst programs in the conference by a disgusting margin, with the Wildcats being ninth and the Jayhawks being a distant 10th.
Under these circumstances, I would normally glance at some smaller programs within the state. However, Kansas has no other Division I college football programs. So the takeaway here is that the Sunflower State just isn’t the place for college football fans.
