Have Huskers found a running back?

While it’s fair to criticize Adrian Martinez because his play was far from perfect with the Huskers, the running game didn’t do him any favors. He often was the running game.

Martinez was a flawed quarterback and one thing that could have really helped him was a reliable running game.

And just like Frost tried to address the quarterback position, as well as his offensive staff, he also looked for an immediate solution at running back too with JUCO transfer Anthony Grant, who has turned heads during the spring, even impressing Nebraska football defenders.

No matter who the quarterback is, he will need a better running game. The Huskers have added talent at wide receiver and there’s no reason to think the passing game can’t be successful, but Nebraska can’t be one-dimensional anymore.

Nebraska has to be able to run the football and having a 1,000-yard rusher sure would be nice.
