Sam Pittman really has done a great job building Arkansas back to respectability. A 9-4 season represents a successful campaign, given the Hogs were 3-7 in 2020.

This year’s squad won’t feature future NFL stud Treylon Burks at receiver. But, with Jadon Hazelwood coming in, KJ Jefferson should have a good target to throw to.

Arkansas’ defense won’t have Hayden Henry, but Bumper Pool comes back to anchor the linebacking corps. The Razorbacks have been upgrading their talent on defense with multiple SEC intraconference transfers.

While Arkansas has kept the talent level stable, Provo should be enough to get BYU the win.

Final Score: BYU 30, Arkansas 24 (BYU 6-1)

Scouting Report. Oct. 22. Pick Analysis. Lynchburg, Va.. Liberty Flames. 8. player. 2382

Hugh Freeze has turned Liberty into a respected program, even if his tenure started out as a meme.

It helped that he had Malik Willis for two of those years. Willis’ combination of arm talent and speed made Liberty a force on offense.

Unfortunately for the Flames, Willis is gone. So too, is Storey Jackson at linebacker, who had over 100 tackles in 2021.

There are good players back from last year’s squad, though. But, without Willis and Jackson, Liberty has become a decapitated dual-headed hydra.

Final Score: BYU 40, Liberty 13 (BYU 7-1)
