Cam Hart could be one of the biggest surprises in the 2023 NFL Draft if he continues to improve like he did in 2021.

A former receiver, Hart came to Notre Dame with hopes of becoming the next great wideout but Brian Kelly had other plans for him, moving him to the defensive side of the ball. He played his first four games at cornerback in 2020 and finished with three tackles and two pass breakups which was just a mild appetizer to the 2021 season.

In 2021, Hart had 41 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, and seven pass breakups in 12 games. He was much more of a ballhawk and turned into one of the best breakout cornerbacks in college football.

With another season just like that, he could earn himself some favorable draft grades, especially since he’s an impressive athlete with great size at 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds. Cornerbacks with that size don’t just grow on trees.

The potential for Hart is endless.
