This upcoming college football season should have an abundance of nail-biting Power 5 rivalries. Which ones will be the best in each conference?

Rivalries are a big part of what makes sports so entertaining to their fans, and college football is no exception to the rule. This is especially the case at the Power 5 level, where some of the game’s most thrilling matchups are displayed on an annual basis.

Some of the said matchups are impactful enough that they can decide who is seen in the playoff bracket later in the season, while some others may serve as little more than fan service. But either way, the hype surrounding them always manages to strike the right chord with the right people.

This Fall, there is an anticipated overflow of meetings whose outcomes could reshape the college football landscape as we know it, perhaps going as far as to completely alter who all fans regard as “contenders” or “pretenders.”

And when considering the less-familiar faces that the College Football Playoff Selection Committee saw sitting within–and right outside of–its bracket this last season, the influence of the meetings being touched on today are all the more likely to mean something this time around.

So without further ado, here is the best rivalry game to watch from each Power 5 conference during the 2022 college football season.
