Big 10: Michigan @ Ohio State

As sad as it may sound when taking historical importance into account, the iconic rivalry between the Michigan Wolverines and Ohio State Buckeyes was becoming dangerously irrelevant from an impact standpoint.

However, the Wolverines have potentially put their inferiority to the Buckeyes on hold for the time being with last season’s stunning prevail. The win was only Michigan’s second in “The Game” with OSU since 2003.

Not only did the Wolverines’ latest victory end the drought they had held under their bitter adversaries, but it also made their eventual playoff appearance look like a guarantee. And this Fall, the Wolverines are looking to keep those vibes intact for the next meeting. This time around won’t be as easy, though, as Ohio State is officially out for blood and will be hosting the affair.

If its future outcomes are as influential as the 2021 one was, “The Game” will once again be one of the most pivotal Power 5 matchups year after year. So at the very least, the 2022 installment will be a must-watch.
