Ohio State football offense will be elite for years to come

There is an arms race going on in college football at the quarterback position and Ohio State is doing as good a job as anyone of building their talent.

Alabama, Georgia, Texas, USC, and others are stacking really talented quarterbacks or are trying to and that’s really the key to long-term success. We saw it with guys like Trevor Lawrence and Joe Burrow, as well as Fields, Bryce Young, and others.

Forget winning the national championship, just getting to the College Football Playoff is hard to do without an elite quarterback. Georiga did it last year but Stetson Bennett was highly efficient and also had one of the greatest defenses in college football history on his side.

The Buckeyes have to get better on defense but it’s not like defensive recruiting hasn’t been successful either. Ohio State just had a down year on defense in 2021. That will be rectified but one thing that won’t fall off for Ohio State anytime soon is the quarterback play.
