MAC Football: Key games to watch

Saturday, September 17 – Miami (OH) at Cincinnati

With Cincinnati losing a ton from last year’s playoff squad, it should bring them in range for an upset to Miami of Ohio in the annual Victory Bell game. This could be a coming out game for Brett Gabbert.

Wednesday, November 2 – Central Michigan at Northern Illinois

The top two teams in the league meet in this inaugural week of Wednesday night MACtion games. If Northern Illinois is to mount a title defense, this game will go an awfully long way to establishing them as back on top of the hill. Meanwhile, if the losses that Central Michigan suffered have not affected them, this is a great game to prove it.

Friday, November 25 – Central Michigan at Eastern Michigan

This rivalry game could end up being for the MAC West, as Eastern Michigan may be in title contention at this point in the season.
