RB – Braelon Allen, Wisconsin

Braelon Allen is going to be one of the best running backs in all of College Football this season and he proved why last season. Wisconsin is a team that is not afraid to run the ball down the opposing team’s throat and Allen will play a huge role. With a more experienced offensive line, watch out for Braelon Allen to get a lot of carries.

Allen started his freshman season as the second option behind Chez Mellusi, which would change in week 3. Allen then would go on to get 186 rushing attempts averaging 6.8 yards per attempt, 1,268 total rushing yards, and 12 touchdowns. Watch for the number of attempts to jump from 183 to around 250 attempts in this upcoming season.

For a running back to win the Heisman they have to be in a run-heavy offense, where they are the primary back, be on a ranked team, and get a lot of goal-line carries to get their touchdown numbers up. Wisconsin checks all of those boxes. 18-year-old Braelon Allen is a must-watch player with insane upside. With the number of carries, Allen will get this season, he is a dark-horse pick to consider.

Watch out for Allen to be in New York and maybe be the first running back holding the Heisman Trophy since Derrick Henry in 2015.
