2. USC vs. Penn State

In FBS history, Penn State and USC are the seventh and ninth most winningest programs of all time, respectively. What better way to showcase that than with a semi-regular matchup between the two schools.

The Nittany Lions and Trojans do not have a long history of playing each other, having only met 10 times. But there have been some fun games along the way.

The two schools first met in the 1923 Rose Bowl. In the modern era, Penn State topped USC in the 1982 Fiesta Bowl. The two would meet six times between 1990 and 2000, with two matchups taking place in Los Angeles, two in State College, and the last two in the Kickoff Classic in East Rutherford, New Jersey. All six matchups were split with three wins each.

The last two games came in Rose Bowls, the latest in 2017, and what a heck of a game it was. The Nittany Lions and Trojans traded blows back and forth in one of the best Rose Bowls of all time. The Trojans ultimately came out on top 52-49, but the game gave us one of Saquon Barkley’s most memorable moments in his collegiate career.

Penn State sure would not mind a trip to sunny California during the season. However, we want to see the Trojans travel to Happy Valley for a nighttime White Out game. What a spectacle USC playing in a great college football tradition like the White Out would be.
