Notre Dame football

What Notre Dame football is doing in the 2023 recruiting class is extremely impressive and Marcus Freeman, following more four-star commitments over the weekend, now has the Irish back in the top spot for 2023 with a little cushion.

Notre Dame football added Micah Bell, a four-star cornerback on Friday ranked 120th overall in 2023, then followed it up by the addition of Christian Gray, who is ranked 10th overall among cornerbacks in 2023 and 94th overall.

In between those additions, Notre Dame also picked up the commitment of Rico Flores, a top-200 wideout ranked as a four-star, which means so far in the month of July, Freeman has picked up three blue-chip commitments.

The Irish are in a solid position for the top overall spot in the 2023 rankings (or at least a top-5 class) following those commitments and they have 17 blue-chippers out of 19 total commitments and just one is ranked outside the top 500.

We continue to talk Notre Dame as a college football team with recruiting momentum, but that’s because it’s been a constant under Freeman. It just never seems to stop.
