Teams like Michigan, Michigan State, Baylor, and Arkansas saw some huge turnarounds in 2021, but which college football teams could do that in 2022?

Folks, college football is right around the corner. That’s right, in about six weeks, we’ll be gearing up for yet another exciting season of our favorite sport.

Nothing beats cracking open a cold one with your closest friends to watch the greatest sport on earth for 12 hours every Saturday. It truly is the best time of the year.

Alright, enough with the sappiness, it’s time to get down to business.

A handful of teams saw massive turnarounds in 2021, going from bottom-dwellers during the pandemic-affected season to contenders. Some of those teams were Utah, Baylor, Michigan, Michigan State, Arkansas, Pitt, Wake Forest, Arkansas, and Ole Miss. Each of those teams was average — or worse — in 2020 and then turned things around to make noise in 2021.

Everyone loves a good comeback story and each of those teams mentioned above could fit that description. Michigan won the Big Ten after going 2-4 the year before, Baylor won the Big 12 after a 2-7 season in 2020, Pitt won the ACC after a 6-5 season, and Utah went 3-2 in 2020 but won the Pac-12 in 2022 and made the Rose Bowl.

Comeback stories aren’t just limited to one season, however. In fact, the 2022 season will have some epic turnaround teams of its own.

Which teams will see the biggest turnarounds this season with loads of potential to contend?
