No Dotson, No Problem

There is no question that the biggest loss from Penn State football’s 2021 team is that of now Washington Commander Wide Receiver, Jahan Dotson. But Quarterback Sean Clifford is going to have plenty of talent to spread the ball around to this season. Both Parker Washington and KeAndre Lambert-Smith had stellar sophomore seasons in supporting roles last year but each look to make themselves household names as WR1. But they are joined by Western Kentucky transfer, Mitchell Tinsley, who has over 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns a season ago.

But where the Nittany Lions need to improve on offense is in the run game. Historically, Penn State has been one of the best running teams but finished with an average of just 106 yards a game and only 11 touchdowns in 2021. But towards the end of last season, Keyvone Lee started to make it clear that he was RB1 in a crowded backfield. But Lee will have to help from an offensive line that had its struggles in 2021 and one that only returns two starters.
