Clemson Football: Game-by-game predictions for 2022
By Dante Pryor
The Seminoles are going to be better this season. Head coach Mike Norvell has Florida State playing hard and playing better. That said, the roster is not ready for Clemson, even if it is on the road for the Tigers.
Florida State still can’t block Clemson, which will stifle what should be a solid offense for the ‘Noles. Florida State will be solid on defense and should keep this one close.
Prediction: Clemson 24, Florida State 10 (7-0, 5-0)
A lot has to go right for the Orange to compete in this game. The offensive line has to stay healthy. New Mexico State transfer Juwan Price is an excellent change of pace back to compliment both running around Sean Tucker and quarterback Garrett Schrader. Syracuse needs a receiver to step up and be a perimeter threat to keep defenses honest.
Clemson has this game at home and should be able to pound the football against one of the smaller defensive lines in college football. The Tigers should be careful not to look ahead to the Notre Dame game.
Prediction: Clemson 35, Syracuse 14 8-0, 6-0)
Notre Dame is Clemson’s first significant threat of the season. The Irish should boast one of the better defenses in the country, even without Kyle Hamilton. However, the Irish have some lingering questions on offense. Is Tyler Buchner ready for this level of opponent? Who emerges and fills Kyren Williams’ shoes?
The Irish getting this game at home should help, but this is a game Clemson’s defense carries the team to a win.
Prediction: Clemson 20, Notre Dame 13 (9-0, 7-0)
