10. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Georgia Tech was a disaster last year, going 3-9 and being outscored by nearly 10 points per game. Indeed, Geoff Collins comes into the year with his job very much on the line, as his best mark is a 3-7 record in 2020. To add to Georgia Tech’s pain, they’ve lost first-round talent and all-purpose running back Jahmyr Gibbs to Alabama.

9. Kent State Golden Flashes

In truth, Kent State is a good team for the MAC. They made the conference championship game in 2021, and have two legitimate impact players on offense in 1,200-yard rusher Marquez Cooper, as well as 1,200-yard receiving Dante Cephas. Still, Georgia football should make quick work of this outfit.

8. Missouri Tigers

Missouri was merely okay last year, going 6-7 with a loss to Army in the Armed Forces Bowl. However, they were half a yard worse per play than their opponents on average, and have some questions about their quarterback situation. Stetson Bennett could end up on his back a time or two due to Missouri’s edge rush potential, but this should be an easy Georgia football win.
