Week 3: Home vs. New Mexico State

Wisconsin will conclude its non-conference slate against the New Mexico State Aggies in Week 3.

New Mexico State’s defense allowed an average of more than 40 points per game last season, so the Badgers’ offense should have a field day. This should be an easy Badger victory before conference play begins in Week 4.

Prediction: Wisconsin 45, New Mexico State 10 (3-0)

Week 4: Away vs. Ohio State

The last Wisconsin victory over Ohio State came in 2010 when the Badgers knocked off the top-ranked Buckeyes at Camp Randall. Ever since Wisconsin has lost all nine of their matchups against Ohio State, and it doesn’t look like the Badgers will snap the streak this season.

Entering 2022, the Buckeyes will have arguably the best offensive attack in America- led by a three-headed monster in quarterback CJ Stroud, running back TreVeyon Henderson, and wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

The Buckeyes should be much improved on defense this year as well. They have seven returning starters along with new defensive coordinator Jim Knowles- who just led Oklahoma State’s defense to the top of the Big 12.

Ultimately, Ryan Day’s team is j far too talented for the Badgers to pull off a road upset. We will see another Buckeye blowout in Columbus.

Prediction: Ohio State 41, Wisconsin 17 (3-1)
