Charlotte at Florida Atlantic (7 PM ET) on CBS Sports Network

Verdict: Watch it

This may be one of the more underrated matchups on the slate, as we’ve got a classic “two programs at a crossroads” storyline here.

Florida Atlantic needs to show progression. They’ve got the talent, they’ve got a decent quarterback in N’Kosi Perry, it’s just Willie Taggart needs to show something in year three in Boca Raton.

Meanwhile, Will Healy’s squad at Charlotte is facing the same problems. Healy came in as a hot name from Austin Peay, but overall, the results have been behind where he’s probably expected them to be. Both teams can go a long way in C-USA’s mid-pack with a win here.

Florida A&M at North Carolina (8:15 PM ET) on ACC Network

Verdict: Keep an eye on it

North Carolina fans will get their first look at Drake Maye at quarterback. Josh Downs will make some excellent plays at receiver, but the reason you should tune in is to see Florida A&M’s defense. They run a unique scheme that lets guys fly to the ball in ways that even UNC might have some trouble with at first.

At first, anyways.

North Texas at UTEP (9 PM ET) on Stadium

Verdict: Keep an eye on it

Both of these teams have had significant departures this year, but UTEP still retains the edge thanks to Gavin Hardison at quarterback and a defense that should be serviceable. However, this game could get interesting; Vegas has even odds for this contest.
