Geoff Collins is coming off a 3-9 season with Georgia Tech and every Yellow Jacket fan is looking for some sort of improvement after a 9-25 start to his coaching tenure. If he can’t get the Yellow Jackets to a bowl game this season, he may be on his way out.

Jahmyr Gibbs is gone and Jeff Sims had an up-and-down season last year so it’s not going to be easy. He will get a chance to make a statement in Week 3 at home against Ole Miss.

That won’t happen, though. The Rebels win this one by two scores.

Prediction: Win (3-0)

Tulsa is a tough team to judge. The Golden Hurricane are coming off a seven-win season and they’re probably projected to finish in the middle of the AAC this year but Philip Montgomery has a decent team returning.

Davis Brin passed for over 3,200 yards and 18 touchdowns last year, but he did have 16 picks which I think will be his downfall in this game. He’ll have a few big turnovers which will put the game out of reach early on.

Tulsa will make a late push, but Ole Miss will ultimately win by three touchdowns.

Prediction: Win (4-0)
