1. UConn Huskies at Utah State Aggies

Why would someone want to watch UConn, one of the worst teams in all of college football last season take on Utah State?

Well, this is the beginning of the Jim Mora Jr. reclamation project. He’s taken over the floundering Huskies program that has not posted a winning record since going 8-5 back in 2010. He’s been largely out of the spotlight after UCLA fired him back in 2017.

For Utah State, they finished ranked No. 24 in the final AP Top 25 poll of the 2021 college football season. They were one of the most surprising Group of Five stories in the country last year. When it was all said and done, they had fended off two Pac-12 teams, defeated No. 19 ranked San Diego State, and lost to No. 13 BYU by just two possessions.

Head Coach Blake Anderson gets sixth-year quarterback Logan Bonner back for one final season. Expect a ton of offense from the Aggies as they look to get a head start as they seek to reclaim their spot atop the Mountain West Conference in 2022.

The Huskies travel to Utah to take on one of the biggest surprise stories at 3 p.m. ET on FS1.
