College Football 2022 Week 1 TV schedule: How to binge-watch

“Eh, it’s there, why not” games
Western Michigan vs. Michigan State (7 p.m. ET) on ESPN
This is not the same Western Michigan team that had Kaleb Eleby and Skyy Moore powering the offense. Rather, it’ll be an inexperienced group going against a group ranked 11th in the Big Ten in yards per play allowed. Michigan State’s offense should produce yards and points, not just due to Payton Thorne, but also former Colorado running back Jarek Broussard.
TCU vs. Colorado (10 p.m. ET) on ESPN
Colorado finished second to last in the Pac-12 South division last year, and Karl Dorrell does not look like the man in Boulder. Meanwhile, TCU’s breaking in an entirely new coach in Sonny Dykes, who comes from cross-Metroplex school SMU. These sorts of wildcard games produce great entertainment from time to time, so it’s worth keeping an eye on until bedtime.
