Rose Bowl: Utah vs. Michigan

In the 109th granddaddy of them all, the Utah Utes and the Michigan Wolverines meet in the all-bittersweet bowl.

The Utah Utes just had a devastating loss in Week 1 at The Swamp and Florida’s incredible Anthony Richardson. Utah is really good and still may have an outside shot at the playoff, but it’ll need to be perfect the rest of the way. While I don’t see them making the postseason, or even winning the Pac-12 (more on that later), I do see them returning to the Rose Bowl.

Returning to the Rose Bowl for the first time in 15 years are the Wolverines. Michigan looked strong in their 51-7 beat down of Colorado State. While the Wolverines look like a team capable of returning to the playoff, I do have questions about how the quarterback controversy will play out, as well as the inevitable meeting at Ohio State.

In the end, we get two programs that may want more, but both need a Rose Bowl victory.
