1. Washington football boasts best offense in Pac-12

The USC Trojans get all of the prestige and attention with their big-name offensive weapons, but it’s actually Washington who holds the title of the best offense in the Pac-12 so far this season.

The Huskies are averaging 48.5 ppg and 571 yards per game of total offense this season, which is outstanding, considering they are led by a transfer quarterback learning a new offense from a coach in his first season with the team.

Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is averaging 341 passing yards per game, well ahead of USC’s Caleb Williams and his 295 yards per game (second-best in Pac-12). His six touchdowns are tied with Williams for best in the conference through the first two games of the season.

Wide receiver Cameron Davis is tied for first for most receiving touchdowns in the conference (three touchdowns) and teammate Jalen McMillian has the second-highest receiving yards per game average in the conference (107 yards per game).

And don’t forget about the team’s running game, led by Wayne Taulapapa and his 151 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

The Huskies just have too many weapons for the Spartans to be able to contain. Penix is having his best season as a college football player, his receiving corp looks great and the team can wear down defenses with their run game.
