4. Tulane at Kansas State (-13)

Kansas State fans had been really excited about the Wildcats and Nebraska transfer Adrian Martinez through two games, especially after the big win over Missouri.

That felt like a legit step in the right direction for the Wildcats, who are looking to get to a bowl game and make some noise in the Big 12. Well, Saturday came and following a 17-10 loss to Tulane, the goals may need to be readjusted.

The Green Wave is 3-0 and after a win over the Wildcats, maybe we need to pay attention to them as a Group of Five team to watch.  The race for the New Year’s Six spot is already pretty wild and if the Green Wave keep winning, why not them?

Tulane pulled the upset Saturday by slowing Deuce Vaughn. He had 20 carries for 81 yards and that’s a helluva job against what I believe is college football’s best back.

That put the onus on Adrian Martinez to deliver and as Nebraska fans know all too well, that’s not a great idea. Martinez was 21-of-31 for 150 yards and an interception. K-State managed just 10 points and just like that, the optimism is sucked out of Manhattan.
