Arkansas Coach Sam Pittman knows how to get the most out of his players

Head Coach Sam Pittman is one heck of a coach. The head Hog is coaching game No. 27 for Arkansas and of those, 24 have been against teams from the SEC, Power 5 conferences, and/or teams ranked in the AP Top 25, according to Arkansas’ game notes.

That’s a heck of a resume. Pittman already has a career’s worth of experience facing more than two dozen top-tier teams. He’s got four ranked wins under his belt and looking to add a fifth after the Razorbacks try to best the favored Aggies on Saturday.

Pittman has stocked his team full of solid transfers and in-state recruits to give him his second consecutive top-10 ranked college football team.

The Hogs know they’ll have a tough challenge in knocking off A&M this week, but you better believe they will be prepared, especially after that near-debacle last week against Bobby Petrino’s FCS team.

Pittman, an old offensive line coach, has one of the most experienced and hard-working front fours in the country in Dalton Wagner, Ricky Stromberg, Brady Latham, and Beaux Limmer. Together, those four offensive linemen have combined to appear in 136 games and started in 111.

Those guys get a unique perspective from Pittman each week and having him in their ears will be a huge asset against a really talented A&M defense.
