1. What’s next for Arkansas?

The loss means that Arkansas misses consecutive 4-0 starts for the first time since 1988-89, and they have not won their first two conference games since 2006. Arkansas did have an opportunity to tie the game late with a field goal. However, the Razorbacks controlled every facet of the game statistically but could not score in the second or third quarters.

Demani Richardson’s 82-yard fumble return for a touchdown changed the game’s complexion. After that play, the Razorbacks had two three-and-out drives and one five-play drive, which totaled 19 yards. Texas A&M plays so slow; Arkansas wasn’t going to get a lot of possessions.

Head coach Sam Pittman had to be disappointed with how the offense sputtered after scoring the first two touchdowns of the game.

Defensively, Arkansas played well. The pass rush harassed Max Johnson all night. Devon Achane did have 159 yards, but 63 of those were on one play. Unlike their counterparts, the Razorbacks did not have one big defensive play.

Sam Pittman and his hogs need to develop a strong case of amnesia because they host the #2 Crimson Tide next Saturday in Fayetteville and travel to Starkville to play Mississippi State next week.
