Another SEC football game that’s being altered due to the impact of Hurricane Ian, Florida will move their game back a day to take place on Sunday, Oct. 2 in Gainesville.

The Gators are coming off a tough loss to Tennessee, nearly completing an epic comeback in the fourth quarter. But, they’ll get to lick their wounds against FCS opponent Eastern Washington from the Big Sky Conference.

Some are skeptical of these Gators since they seem to continuously play from behind this season, with their game against South Florida being the lone exception so far this season. But that was a game they nearly got beat, escaping with a three-point win against those Bulls at home.

QB Anthony Richardson should get a chance to build on his great performance against Tennessee (453 passing yards, 2 TD, 1 INT) when he goes up against an EWU team that recently gave up 70 points to Oregon.

Similar to SCAR QB Spencer Rattler, Richardson has a chance to work out some last minute kinks before embarking on a tough conference schedule the rest of the way.

This Gators should have a really good day against the Eagles, coming up with their biggest win of the season (by margin of victory), blowing them out by 30+ points.

Prediction: Florida Gators 41, Eastern Washington Eagles 10
