1. What’s next for the Wildcats?

What was most interesting about watching the Wildcats this afternoon was how they were sometimes pushed around by Ole Miss football. The offensive line had issues finishing blocks and not opening holes for the running game.

Kentucky plays the South Carolina Gamecocks in a critical SEC East divisional match-up. The defensive line and secondary will get tested against Spencer Rattler and the South Carolina passing game.

2. What’s next for the Rebels?

First and foremost, the Rebels could find themselves hovering around or inside the top ten when the AP Poll comes out next week. Ole Miss could be the second-best team in the SEC West if the defense continues to play this well. You need two things to succeed on the road in the SEC: a defense and a running game; Ole Miss has them both.

The Rebels have three winnable games against Vanderbilt, Auburn, and LSU. Ole Miss could be undefeated ahead of their trip to College Station to take on the #17 Texas A&M Aggies in late October.
