Gary Patterson, former TCU head coach

Call me crazy, but I think Gary Patterson would at least consider the Colorado job. Patterson had a few down years at TCU and that led to his firing. However, the guy can coach and sometimes all that is needed is a change of scenery.

Patterson coached the Horned Frogs to 17 bowl games and 11 double-digit win seasons. He is 62 years old but the man knows how to build a program from the ground up. He did it at TCU and he could certainly help rebuild the Buffaloes.

Another thing I like is that he used to coach in the Mountain West, as well as the Big 12. He knows how to recruit in that area and also has deep ties to Texas.

Some might throw out the name Chris Petersen but I don’t know that he’d want this job. Patterson? I feel like he could be enticed.
