What’s next for Minnesota?

The Golden Gophers need Ibrahim back. With wide receiver Chris Autman-Bell out for the season, Minnesota needs production from the running back position to force defenses to bring a safety into the box. Minnesota has no receiver that can catch 50/50 balls in traffic or blow the top off the defense.

The Golden Gophers have two challenging games with Illinois and #11 Penn State on the road. The offense will struggle if Minnesota is without Ibrahim for an extended period.

What’s next for Purdue?

The “Spoilermakers” look for their third consecutive win against the Maryland Terrapins in College Park next weekend. Purdue’s ability to run the football makes their offense dangerous.

Purdue football rushing for 160 yards and nearly six yards per rush attempt forces defenses to make some strategic choices. Jeff Brohm has to love the possibility of playing complementary football offensively.

Maryland will be challenging, but Nebraska and Wisconsin are winnable in a wide-open Big Ten West.
