Pac-12 football power rankings: UCLA making huge moves
By Dante Pryor
12. Colorado (0-5, 0-2)
The Colorado Buffaloes could be the worst program in the Power Five, challenging New Mexico State and UMass for the worst programs in all of FBS. Colorado has scored 67 points in five games. That stat is skewed because they scored 20 of those 67 points in its 49-20 loss to Arizona on Saturday.
As a result of their start, head coach Karl Dorrell was dismissed as head coach. Offensive coordinator Mike Sanford takes over as the interim head coach for the rest of the season.
11. Arizona State (1-4, 0-2)
The Sun Devils are also a team looking for a head coach. Give the Sun Devils credit for putting up a fight in the first half of their 42-25 loss against No. 6 USC. That game was 21-17 at halftime before the Trojans used a 21-8 second half to pull away for the win. Seasons like this are hard for both the coaching staff and players.
The Sun Devils host No. 21 Washington this weekend.
10. Stanford (1-3, 0-3)
It would be a complete surprise if Stanford head coach David Shaw were fired because the Cardinal would likely ask him to retire, or they would find mutually part ways. Football doesn’t pull the wagon at Stanford, so they could allow Shaw to turn things around on the Farm. That said, Stanford has not looked good this season.
