2. Georgia reaffirms status as elite SEC football team in blowout vs Auburn

After three weeks of domination outscoring Oregon, Samford, and South Carolina 130-10, the Georgia Bulldogs have shown some cracks in their armor. The Dawgs won their last two games vs Kent State and Missouri by a combined score of 65-44.

Georgia had to play from behind vs Missouri for nearly the entire game last week. They didn’t take their first lead until the 4:03 mark in the fourth quarter. They had to overcome two first-half turnovers and their defense getting beat badly on a 36-yard pass on the second play of the second quarter that led to a Mizzou touchdown and a 10-0 lead.

But this was all last week. A lot of lessons were learned by Georgia in their narrow escape. This team needed to go through a little adversity and luckily for them it was against a team they were able to course-correct and win. Whenever they face Tennessee or Kentucky, they might not be as lucky to escape with a win.

But, after a week of making corrections in the film room and practice field, this team is going to take their frustrations out on their next opponent, which happens to be Auburn. Currently, Georgia is favored to win by 30 points.

With Auburn having so many question marks and a coach that’s likely lost his locker room, Kirby Smart and UGA are going to have a huge day to get their team back on track after a shaky couple of weeks.

Prediction: Georgia 42, Auburn 17
