Like many teams that you’ll see in the top 10 this week, Ole Miss took its inferior opponent lightly and that nearly cost the Rebels a sure win.

Ole Miss hit the road to take on Vanderbilt this week and while it was expected to be a blowout win for the Rebels, they struggled against the Commodores in the first half, trailing by three at halftime.

Lane Kiffin’s team got it figured out in the second half and eventually ran away with a comfortable win (again, like a lot of the top-10 teams you’ll see on here) and they remained undefeated.

Are the Rebels a little overrated at No. 9 based on their play to this point in the season? Yeah, probably, but it’s not bad enough or inconsistent enough to drop them out of the top 10.

They’ll be tested very soon, however.
