Alabama isn’t going anywhere

Whenever Alabama drops a game there is always an overreaction. But the Crimson Tide bounced back with a dominating win over Mississippi State.

Alabama has owned Will Rogers over the years and that didn’t change on Saturday. Mike Leach is a great head coach but he still can’t beat Nick Saban and few can.

This wasn’t the only important result in the SEC on Saturday. LSU took down seventh-ranked Ole Miss, which kind of revealed that the Rebels are a little bit of a fraud.

Ole Miss is still going to have a shot though and so will Alabama at making the playoff. Any SEC with just one loss and a conference championship is going to make it. So as ugly as things were for the Rebels, they still control their College Football Playoff destiny.

Win and they are in.

There aren’t that many college football teams that can still say that and Alabama is one of them. So is Ole Miss, believe it or not, because winning would mean beating Georgia and the Crimson Tide.
