14. Virginia Tech Hokies (2-5, 1-3)

The Hokies were off this week and travel to Raleigh this weekend to take on the #24 NC State Wolfpack. The Hokies are also in the midst of a four-game losing streak. They have a chance to end that streak with Wolfpack starting quarterback Devin Leary out for the season with an injury. ‘Tech needs to find some offense if they want to win this one.

13. Boston College Eagles (2-5, 1-4)

If the Eagles can’t defeat UConn this weekend, they might not win another game this season. Injuries have played a role in Boston College’s offensive woes this season. Quarterback Phil Jurkovec is doing everything he can, but the offense stalls without a running game. The offense has struggled, and the defense has also struggled for the Eagles.

12. Miami Hurricanes (3-4, 1-2)

Some fans and prognosticators thought the Hurricanes were going to challenge in the final season of the Coastal. There was some good reason for that, but you had to consider the massive loss of production at wide receiver and transitioning to a new offensive system. That said, the offense isn’t giving up 45 points to Duke.

The Hurricanes are not imploding; they are a more extensive rebuild than anyone thought.

11. Virginia Cavaliers (3-4, 1-3)

The Wahoos get their first conference win of the season against the Georiga Tech Yellow Jackets. Brennan Armstrong had his best game of the season, accounting for 346 yards of offense and two total touchdowns. What’s baffling is why new head coach Tony Elliot won’t incorporate what Armstrong does well and makes things easier for them.
