College Football Week 9 Prediction: Arkansas Razorbacks earn their second SEC college football win of the season

The Razorbacks were an uber-popular dark horse pick to give Alabama a run for their money in the SEC-West this year and they’ve fallen quite a bit short of that expectation this season. They’ve been ravaged by injuries on both sides of the ball and are finally showing some signs of life after ending a three-game SEC football losing streak by defeating BYU in Provo, Utah by nearly 30 points.

Arkansas has just one SEC win this season and that was against South Carolina in Week 2 at home. They’re looking to add to that win column this week against an Auburn team that has also greatly underwhelmed this season and has their head coach on the hottest of hot seats.

Auburn has had a brutal schedule and hasn’t really been competitive in their big games against ranked teams, losing to No. 22 Penn State, No. 2 Georgia, and No. 9 Ole Miss by a combined 131-56.

College Football Week 9 Prediction: No. 3 Tennessee scorches No. 19 Kentucky for 40+ points

Everyone is looking ahead to next week’s Tennessee vs Georgia matchup, but the Volunteers (7-0) have to get through their Week 9 opponent, No. 19 Kentucky (5-2), first and it won’t be an easy task.

After missing the Oct. 8 game vs South Carolina, Kentucky QB Will Levis returned a week later to help the Wildcats fend off a hot Mississippi State football team. They had last week off, giving them some much-needed time to get a little healthier and prepare for the offensive juggernaut that is Tennessee this week.

Kentucky has not allowed more than 24 points this season and they’ve played against Florida, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State— three SEC football teams that can rack up some points. Tennessee, on the other hand, has never scored fewer than 34 points in a game this season. In fact, they’re averaging 50.1 points per game, more than any college football team in the country.

I expect the Vols to drop at least 40 points on the ‘Cats, paving the way for an epic SEC-East clash next week when Tennessee faces No. 1 Georgia in Athens.
