1. Notre Dame football just doesn’t make sense this year

Starting the season 0-2 with a close loss at Ohio State and then a home loss to Marshall already didn’t make much sense. And then they reeled off four straight wins, including one over a now-ranked North Carolina team. Well, that didn’t make sense either.

And then they lost at home to a bad Stanford team. Zero sense made. Now, they’re fresh off a road win over the No. 16 team in the country.

Just an unreal roller-coaster of a season for the Irish.

Notre Dame sits at 5-3 and fans would tell you that this season has felt like it’s lasted an eternity. After those losses to Marshall and Stanford, it felt like the Irish weren’t any good. Then they beat teams like North Carolina and Syracuse and now we’re all confused again.

This was a massive win for Notre Dame on the road to get one step closer to bowl eligibility and it just shows we don’t know a darn thing about this year’s Irish team.
