Northwestern allowed the Iowa offense to score 33 points. Read that again. The Hawkeyes entered Saturday’s game were averaging 10 points per game when subtracting their defensive scores. The Wildcats allowed more than triple that output in one game.

This is a really bad team, even by Northwestern’s standards. After winning only three games a year ago, this year’s team does not look like it will win another game. A lot of soul searching for Pat Fitzgerald and his Wildcats.

Indiana was on the bye week. The Hoosiers are looking to right the ship, after losing five straight. It will be tough to break that streak as they welcome Penn State to Bloomington next Saturday.

Nothing went right for Rutgers as they were shut out at Minnesota 31-0. Both quarterbacks, Gavin Wimsatt and Noah Vedral, were bad. They combined to go 9 for 24 for 86 yards and each had an interception.

It does not get any easier down the stretch for Rutgers. They were return home to face Michigan next Saturday.
