After a three game losing streak, Minnesota got back in the win column with their shut out victory over Rutgers. Tanner Morgan returned under center but the offense belonged to Mo Ibrahim. The Gophers’ star player rushed for 159 yards and found the end zone three times. After looking very suspect in recent weeks, the Gophers defense returned to form, allowing Rutgers only 134 total yards.

The Big Ten West is out of the question for Minnesota but they are still playing for bowl standing. The Gophers will look to gain bowl eligibility as they travel to Nebraska next.

Purdue had a bye week, coming off a loss to Wisconsin last week. The Boilermakers should make a bowl game for the second consecutive year, but winning the West division is a tough challenge with Illinois in the drivers seat.

Wisconsin also was on a bye week after their victory against Purdue. The Badgers are looking to close out strong and they host Maryland to start November.
