3. Notre Dame will win the turnover battle

To help secure the victory over Clemson the Irish will have to win the turnover battle. DJ Uiagalelei has been rather careless with the ball on his end so far in 2022. He does only have four interceptions, but at the same time, he has five fumbles. Nine turnovers are a lot for an experienced quarterback like Uiagalelei.

Notre Dame does not have a ton of interceptions on their end in their first 8 games, but there is tons of talent on the Irish defense. Ask ball-hawking safety Brandon Joseph or fellow cornerback TaRiq Bracy who both have had interceptions on the first plays of the game on their end.

The Irish defensive line has been playing well getting into the backfield as of late the last few weeks. Star pass rusher and possibly future first-round pick Isaiah Foskey is right on the edge of becoming the all-time sack leader in Notre Dame history. Foskey is just 1.5 sacks from the all-time record of 24.5 sacks set by former Irish great Justin Tuck. Foskey should be able to force Uiagalelei into pressure and a costly mistake or two.

Notre Dame will have a turnover as well from quarterback Drew Pyne, but believe that Clemson will turn the ball over multiple times on Saturday night.
