4. Utah Utes (7-2, 4-1)

The Utes’ playoff chances are gone, but they still have an opportunity to play in the Pac-12 Championship game. Utah’s challenge is finishing the season with two road games, including traveling to Eugene to play the #6 Oregon Ducks. Utah could find themselves in the title game with a win against the Ducks.

3. USC Trojans (8-1, 6-1)

USC is on the outside looking into the Playoff race. However, the Trojans still have #12 UCLA and #20 Notre Dame on their schedule. The Trojans need more than anything for #6 Oregon to win out and make it to the title game with one loss. The Trojans and the Ducks could play for a Playoff spot if they enter the title game with one loss each.

2. UCLA Bruins (8-1, 5-1)

The Bruins could have done themselves in with such a poor non-conference schedule. Having an FCS team (Alabama State) and barely beating South Alabama does not help their cause. The Bruins might not have the schedule to make the Playoff but could ruin it for USC and Oregon by winning the rest of their games.

1. Oregon Ducks (8-1, 6-0)

The Ducks have the best chance to make the College Football Playoff from the Pac-12. They are sitting at #6 in the rankings, with Ohio State still having to play Michigan and Georgia having to play in the SEC title game. TCU could still lose a game (or two) on their way to the Big 12 title game, and the ACC is all but eliminated. The big question is whether or not the committee can get past the 49-3 loss to Georgia in their first game of the season.
